Omelette Menu

I created this printable a long time ago but lost the original file! So I had to start over and make a new one... which turned out to be OK because I LOVE the new one so much better!

This fun family breakfast activity would be a great addition to your Easter morning!

Simply print on cardstock, flip over and print page 2 (so you get a double sided document), then laminate for longevity. If you decide to laminate it, use a WET-DRY erase marker to write on the menu(s) so that it won't  wipe off unless you wipe it off with water.

DIY Pizza Night

Friday Nights are designated as our Family Activity Day. We spend Monday Night learning, and Friday night playing as a family. This way our week is sandwiched by time spent together :)

One of my resolutions this year is to plan more fun, educational, and unique events for "F.A.D". We spent our first Friday together this year playing Pizza Chefs!

FAMILY ACTIVITY IDEA:

Pizza Bar!

Decorating, baking, and eating home-made pizza!

 {This required quite a bit of prep work from me but it was well worth it!}

Items needed:

Toppings:

Cheese (several types if you're ambitious)

Tomatoes

Green/Red Peppers

Olives

Onions

Pepporoni

Sausage

Bacon

Pineapple

Ham

Mushrooms

Squash

Spinach

Chicken

Pizza Sauce

Alfredo Sauce

Barbeque Sauce

And of course good old fashioned home made Pizza Dough!

I used this recipe I found at All Recipes.   I doubled the recipe because we invited my sister and her husband over so including their 2 little kids we had 6 kids under 6 and us 4 adults. We had just enough dough for 6 baby pizzas and 2 large ones for the boys!

This dough was so good we are going to be making bread sticks with this dough in the future!

And here is my biggest kid showing off his creation: Stuffed Crust BBQ/Alfredo Chicken Tomato Pizza. He got reeeeeeeaallly into this :)

Stay at Home Movie Theater Night!

We had a super fun family activity Friday Night!

We set up our T.V. room like a movie theater by putting dark sheets on all the walls, blocked off the entrance with curtains, and made a fully stocked concession stand and ticket stand!

I went to our local theater and bought theater popcorn and asked for kid cups and those plastic kid containers. The popcorn was $5 the other stuff they gave to me free! I got the candy and soda from my local grocer cuz we all know how expensive movie theater candy is! We told the kids that we were going to the movies and got them all ready to "go out". When we "arrived" at our living room they went from confused to amazed in a matter of seconds!

The kids had tickets which they redeemed to get into the "movie theater" and to get candy and popcorn. You can print these super cute tickets as well as concession stand labels HERE.

We watched Karate Kid [which we loved!] and the kiddos had a blast as was evident by the super huge mess that was left in our living room :)

This was by far one of our most memorable family activities to date! I think this one is going down as a tradition!

Here's a fun idea for a family night, special breakfast, birthday meal, or even just pretend play:

An Omelette Menu!

I included pictures so that even the teeny-tots could get in on the fun!


Have each person order by circling the ingredients they want in their custom omelette. Have them write their name at the bottom so the "chef/waitress" knows who ordered what. Fun for everyone in the family from toddlers to grandparents!!
