50 State Flags Free Printable

As I mentioned before, we are studying the 50 States for homeschool right now. The only place I could find the 50 State flags as a printable was at Noor Janan's homeschool blog, but she has only posted the Northeast and Southeast flags as of yet, and I needed all 50- so I created these.

Print on to cardstock (7 pages total) and enjoy!

Here are some creative ways to use these:

Pin-mapping. Pin/tape the flag to the state, OR attach toothpicks to the back of the flags to make a mini-flag, Attach a map to a cork board, lie it on the floor, and have them stake the flag into the “ground” of each state.

Matching- Print out 2 sets and have the child match them up

Sorting- Have them sort by color, region, or theme (those with animals on the flag, Native American Symbols, those with dates on them, those whose State name is on the flag, those with people on the flag, etc)

Flashcards- Print, laminate, and use them as flashcards. You could also punch a hole in the left corner of each flag and attach to a keyring.

For additional 50 State activities check out my other free printables:

Etch all 50 States plus the U.S. territories instead of collecting and keeping all those quarters.

National Parks & Landmarks
Print, cut, and pin/tape to a map where each National Park & Landmark belong

Or use the suggestions that I mentioned above from the State Flags.

  1. Hi, these come at a great time as I am planning a US study next year and I didn't want to start from scratch. I can't seem to get the landmarks and the flags to come up though. Thanks for your help.

    1. Hello,
I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to respond. The Professor Poppins blog has been under construction, and now that it's almost complete, I believe I've got the downloads working again. Please revisit the post and find the downloads you were wanting. I've switched to a new host website so there shouldn't be anymore confusion. If you have any more problems please email me back (professorpoppins@gmail.com) and I'll respond as quick as I can.

      Sincerly,
      Stephanie

  2. I have been trying to print your 50 State Flags printable card set and can't seem to get to the images. When I click on the image, it just brings up the photo of all of them put together. I just found your site through Pinterest and am excited with all the resources and articles you offer. Thanks for your help!
